Walnut Ridge Retreat – Your Ultimate Getaway Near Hocking Hills

Walnut Ridge Retreat has a total of 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The top floor has the game room, laundry room, multiple bathrooms and bedrooms, and access to the wrap around deck. The bottom floor consists of the kitchen, dining room, pool table, family room, and bathroom. There are a total of 9 beds (3 queen beds and 3 full beds and 3 twin beds). Our CordaRoy bean bags also fold out into full sized beds to provide an additional 6 beds.

Cast a line in our serene, stocked ½-acre pond, cool off with a refreshing swim in our spacious 20′ x 40′ heated swimming pool, or soak your cares away in the relaxing hot tub.

Indulge in endless entertainment with a variety of games available throughout the lodge, including pool, Connect Four, giant Jenga, arcade basketball, air hockey, and shuffleboard—ensuring that fun never stops for kids and adults alike.

There’s no better way to do so than adding more outdoor entertainment! Summer 2021 the Sunset Cabin will have a pool where our guests can soak in the sun!
When you rent the Sunset Cabin, you are renting a complete experience. We like to show our guests how much we appreciate them. Book a canoe, kayak, or tube rental along the scenic Hocking River or book a guided ATV/UTV tour on Wayne National Forest to experience Hocking Hills like never before.

We enjoyed our long family weekend at Walnut Ridge!

The location was great, the accommodations were set up nicely, there was plenty on site for the kids to stay entertained, and there was plenty of room to spread out. Thanks for the stay! We look forward to a future visit.

A great family get together home.

We loved the outdoor area (pool and fire pit). Only recommendations are the cleanliness and to update door fixtures so that doors can lock. The oven had so much food cooked on the bottom of it and every time we used the smoke alarms would go off. Otherwise it was a great spot!

We could not have been more pleased.

Accommodations were perfect for our group of 6 parents and six children. The kids stayed downstairs inthe room with 6 bunk beds..the bottom was full sized. We all enjoyed the pool, fishing in the pond, Old Mans cave and 5 mile canoe trip. A bonus was that the Tecumseh play was about 1 hour away. We hope to do a repeat next year.

We had a great time in an awesome house!

The house was clean and beautiful. The swimming pool was a huge hit. I loved that the new kitchen table accommodated all 10 of us. I was also happy about the kitchen island. With the kitchen being so big, it needed a good workspace. The firepit was awesome and we felt right at home. The only downside was the grass was not mowed and the weeds looked like they were taking over the flower beds. For the price of the house, you would expect these details to be addressed.

Excellent family gathering with plenty to do for kids, adolescents, and adults.

Great pool, games, and fishing. Convenient to parks. Staff friendly and responsive to couple of minor issues.

We were able to relax, feel comfortable, and have lots of fun at the Walnut Ridge Retreat!

Location, amenities of the cabin including the pool, game room, wraparound porch, lots of seating, fishing pond, and nice bedrooms and bathrooms.

Perfect place to relax.

The things I like were the wrap around porch, the beautiful scenery. The down stairs with the pole table and how spacious it was. I would rebook this place again!!
