Located in the town of Buchtel, Ohio is our unique, rustic Hitching Post Cabin! This cabin offers the perfect getaway for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. Conveniently located to all nearby outdoor fun, attractions, and state parks. This cabin is only minutes away from the Snowfork Event Center, great for travelers visiting the region for the Nelsonville Music Festival!

Hitching Post Cabin is a 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom rental that comfortably accommodates up to 4 guests. There are 2 spacious bedrooms, each furnished with a Queen sized bed. The fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to enjoy a home cooked meal on your getaway!

Guests can enjoy some fine dining at Lake Hope Lodge or a day of picnicking and swimming with family and friends.

The Hitching Post is located 6 miles from Logan and 12 miles to Nelsonville, Ohio. The State Park offers over thousands of acres to explore by hiking, offhighway vehicle riding, mountain biking, or horseback riding. When in town, guests will want to visit Nelsonville’s Historic Square Arts District, Stuart’s Opera House, Hocking Valley Scenic Railway, or the Nelsonville Music Festival that is held every year at Hocking College. On the opposite side of Nelsonville is Lake Hope State Park located in Zaleski State Forest.
