Welcome to Black Bear Lodge, a fully renovated 4-bedroom, 2-bath cabin nestled on a secluded 10-acre property in the heart of Hocking Hills. Comfortably sleeping 10 guests, it’s the perfect retreat for family and friends.

Inside, enjoy an open-concept layout with knotty pine walls, hardwood floors, and a fully equipped kitchen. Gather around the hand-crafted dining table, relax by the fireplace, or watch movies on the spacious sectional.

Outside, explore nearby trails, cook out on the patio, or simply unwind in nature. Centrally located near all major Hocking Hills attractions and Wayne National Forest, Black Bear Lodge is your home base for adventure and relaxation.

Spend the day hiking and exploring Hocking Hills, then come back to the lodge where you can relax in the sun. Pool opens Memorial Day Weekend!

24 feet round pool with a depth of 54 inches.

Are the pools heated?
No, the pools are not heated therefore we have to wait until Memorial Day Weekend to open the pools.

Do we supply pool toys?
No, customers should plan on bringing their own pool toys.

Is there a lifeguard on duty?
No, there are no lifeguards on duty. Swimming in the pool is at their own risk. Customers sign a Pool Waiver at check-in that goes over the liability and use of the pool.

CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED BY AN ADULT AT ALL TIMES!

We had a great stay in a clean cabin that was comfortable and allowed us to relax.

We arrived past standard check in times but were able to arrange an after hours entrance with the staff ahead of time. Staff was very friendly and helpful with getting this setup. The cabin was very clean and looked exactly as the photos depicted, there was plenty of space for us all and we didn't encounter any problems during out stay. It was a great, spur of the moment, get away from work extended weekend. This was our first encounter with 1st Choice Lodging and we will definitely be back!

Everyone loved the accomdations!

The house is very open, the pool was fantastic! We could not use grill. The attachment to gas i could not get tight enough to where it didnt leak. There should be lights by the pool. Beautiful place, well kept

Great place to stay.

It was secluded, but yet close to everything we needed. It was clean. I'm very well-maintained. The pool and Jacuzzi were very relaxing and the fire pit was great for our family at night. The only downside was, we had to check in and check out at a different location, and the checkout time is too early. With check out being at a different location and set for 10 AM, that meant we had to be out of the cabin by 9:30 AM to check out on time. Ugh! Overall, a great stay.

Relaxing spacious cabin!

Easy to find and nice secluded enough location. We did find there was a bit of a septic tank smell every now and then that was hard to stomach, might be something the property would want to look into but,it's also possible that it is what it is. It didn't ruin our stay or anything. Very easy check in and out process. PLENTY of kitchen items you should never be left stranded without a tool. Loved that it was stocked with plenty of dishes, pots pans and utensils needed. Will stay again! Loved.

Our family loved Black Bear Lodge!

We had a family get-together with three generations. Our stay was Friday and Saturday nights, checking out on Sunday morning.

we had a great stay at Black Bear lodge

The home was very accommodating. Loved the privet setting and that it was pet friendly! we enjoyed the firepit and the garage was a great add on as the event that we attended required that we brin ATV's and we felt safe that we could lock them in the garage. The cleanliness of a pet friendly home was acceptable. the floors could have been a little cleaner. Over all the home and lay out was perfect. wish we would of had weather for the pool.
