Welcome to our Sunset Cabin! Invite the entire family and your friends to join you on your Hocking Hills vacation when you stay here. Our Sunset Cabin is a beautiful, spacious open-concept property that easily accommodates 12 guests with its comfortable living spaces, fully equipped kitchen, spacious bedrooms, and large back decks. When you stay here, you are centrally located to all outdoor activities and fun. Explore, experience, and enjoy the Hocking Hills and Wayne National Forest like you never have before.

Upon arrival guests will be welcomed to a charming front porch, where our guests can relax outside after a day of exploring the state parks. You will walk into the Sunset Cabin to a beautifully remodeled space with knotty pined walls, hickory kitchen cabinets, and two comfortable living spaces.

The entire cabin has been completely remodeled to make our guests feel like they are at a home away from home. There is a fully equipped kitchen and breakfast bar that gives you the ability to cook delicious, home-made meals throughout your stay. Just located off the living room is a beautiful master suite with a luxurious master bath with a large, romantic soaking tub and a double vanity sink. Take a relaxing bath after exploring state parks and partaking in outdoor activities.

There are four additional spacious bedrooms where our guests can enjoy maximum comfortability in the Queen-sized beds. The second living room offers a great space to cozy up next to the electric fireplace with your loved ones while watching a movie marathon. One of the best features of the cabin are the two back decks, excellent for outdoor entertainment. You and your guests can grill juicy hamburgers or steaks over the grill.

Sit back and relax in the hot tub to enjoy beautiful sunsets and get lost in the wide-open starry night sky.

Spend time around the outdoor firepit sitting around a crackling warm fire sharing memories, laughing over drinks, and roasting marshmallows. Make sure you take advantage of the picturesque views of the sunsets over the rolling hills, the beautiful fall foliage, and the gorgeous starry skies because these are views that you don’t see every day.

Swimming Pool

We aim to open the pools 1 week before Memorial Day Weekend; however, it is dependent on the weather from year to year. We aim to close the pools right after Labor Day Weekend. We cannot guarantee that the pools will be open longer than that.

30 x 15 feet pool with a depth of 54 inches.

Are the pools heated?
No, the pools are not heated therefore we have to wait until Memorial Day Weekend to open the pools.

Do we supply pool toys?
No, customers should plan on bringing their own pool toys.

Is there a lifeguard on duty?
No, there are no lifeguards on duty. Swimming in the pool is at their own risk. Customers sign a Pool Waiver at check-in that goes over the liability and use of the pool.

CHILDREN MUST BE SUPERVISED BY AN ADULT AT ALL TIMES!

Rental rates are subject to change at any time. Rentals rates are based on a minimum occupancy of 8 guests. The Sunset Cabin can sleep up to 12 guests. Each additional guest is an additional $25 per night. 2 night minimum for Weekend stays – Friday, Saturday & Sunday. 3 Night minimum stay for Holiday Weekends. Holiday rates apply for all 3 nights. Applicable fees & taxes apply to rental rates. Taxes are 13.25%. We have both 7.25% sales tax and 6% lodging tax added to the rental rates.

Spacious home with great views located close to Hocking Hills!
My children and grandchildren enjoyed hiking, enjoyed the hot tub (while it worked) and the yard was fantastic. I was told by staff you had 3 other hot tubs break down besides mine. I suggest you hire someone to clean/treat all the hot tubs on Thursdays so everything is clean for the weekend. We were really turned off by the dog poop under the master bed and the hairs where it should not have been. Also didn't want anyone on the deck due to weak rotten boards!

Very comfortable and relaxing
Our stay at the Sunset Cabin through 1st Choice Renatals was so nice! There was plenty of space in the cabin for our group that was there. The whole cabin was fully furnished including a dishwasher, washer and dryer. The hot tub was very spacious with plenty of room. It had all the perks of camping but with the comfort of home. We will definetly be staying again!

Sunset cabin
Had a wonderful time at Sunset cabin. It had five beautiful bedrooms and two nice bathrooms. Kitchen was well equipped. The place was immaculate. The location was convenient to Nelsonville and Lake Hope. We will definitely be back.

We rented the sunset cabin in Nelsonville for 4 nights. We were pleasantly surprised with the accommodations. The cabin was very clean and well supplied with every thing we needed. The pool was a wonderful addition to the property that we all enjoyed. We will definitely stay there again in the future.

1st Choice Cabin Rentals were great to work with. They are so friendly and helpful. My son wound up having to get tested for Covid a few days before we were suppose to go to Hocking Hills, and we didn't get the results back in time to go that week. 1st Choice kindly changed our reservations to the following week. They were quick to response to an email about how they cleaned their cabins. We found the cabin to be very clean, which was comforting. We had a couple of questions after we arrived an

We loved it! Even though we couldn't do much because of the COVID19 Virus. It beat being stuck in my 900 sq. Ft home. The kids loved the round bathtub and the hot tub. I'm older with bad knees and back one reason why I picked this cabin was because of the floor lay out one storie. The fire pit was hard for me to get to only went down once, but the kids loved to run up and down the hill so win win they brought me up a smore. I wish the furniture was a little higher but I just put a couple pillo

Windy 9s Tour 2018
We booked as a group of 4 couples to tour the Windy 9's on our bikes. The area was amazing with great roads to ride for 4 days. The cabin was exactly what we needed. The Sunset cabin was right on one of the routes and made for an excellent home base to relax after a long day riding the curves. The cabin was clean and had most everything we needed for our stay. We will surely return and have already recommended it for our biker friends to come enjoy the Windy 9's riding. Book the Sunset Cabin if you are a large group. Plenty of driveway to park our 2 trailers and bikes.
